Project Sanjivani: Helping Genuine Medical Cases Find the Right Door
Project Sanjivani, by Ekjut Nepal, verifies genuine medical and urgent cases and connects them with doctors, hospitals, transport and donors.

In Hindu tradition, sanjivani is the herb that restores life. Project Sanjivani, an Ekjut Nepal project, takes that name for a practical purpose: helping people in Nepal with genuine medical and urgent needs reach the resources that let them move forward.
The problem is access, not only treatment
Over the years, Ekjut's founder Chirag Goyal has been asked for help with individual medical cases: a patient who needed a hospital bed, a family who did not know which specialist to see, someone who could not afford the next step of treatment.
Often the biggest barrier was not the treatment itself. It was finding the right door. A person may have a real medical need, but if they cannot reach the right doctor, hospital or support at the right moment, the need goes unanswered.
That is why access is itself a form of support. A doctor willing to help, a hospital that can make space, someone to arrange transport, someone who knows where to go, someone to fund what is missing: none of these looks like a large project, but together they can change everything for one family.
How Project Sanjivani works
The model is built around Nepal's own needs, relationships and context.
- Identify genuine cases that need medical or urgent assistance.
- Verify the situation and the exact requirement.
- Mobilise individuals, foundations and institutions that can help.
- Support the case through to a meaningful result, and account for what was done.
The aim is to make medical assistance in Nepal more organised and more transparent, carrying each case through rather than stopping at a single donation.
Who can help
- Doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals willing to advise or treat
- Hospitals and clinics that can offer space or reduced costs
- People who can provide transport, especially from outside the Kathmandu Valley
- Donors and foundations who want their support tied to a verified case
If you can help, join the registry and choose "Medical / healthcare support".
